Reese Witherspoon seriously pursued her acting career after enrolment at Stanford University. In her early career, she played roles in movies like Pleasantville or Election. But it came in Elle Woods' portrayal in Legally Blonde which marked a significant pivotal moment in her career. Witherspoon's role as Elle Woods in Walk the Line earned her an Academy Award nomination in 2005. Water for Elephants: This Means War & Wild, for both of which she was awarded the Oscar nomination. Witherspoon is also a hit in television, as she has been a producer and co-star for David E. Kelley's award-winning TV series Big Little Lies. Witherspoon was born Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon at New Orleans Louisiana, March 22 26th, 1976. The parents of Witherspoon are a medical doctor as well as registered nurses. Her childhood was spent in Nashville, Tennessee. She was the school's debutante and Harpeth Hall. In the year 1991, Witherspoon responded to a newspaper ad for extras an impulse. She was just 14 when she was given the role of lead actress for The Man in the Moon which was her first feature film. Her first year out of high school Witherspoon thought about quitting acting to follow her parents into the medical profession. In order to devote the time needed to acting she deferred her college education for a time. After that, while in her time at Stanford University, she took an introductory course in English literature, before deciding to resume her work. Her career began in the early 2000s appearing in a number of smaller television roles. in the comedic The Invisible Man, 2003 she was the first actress to appear in a major feature film. Her television career began with House of Lies Whitney. In addition to her acting work as a performer, she's appeared in films such as The Dictator or The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. Alongside her acting work, Ms. Williams is a gifted artist who has exhibited her work in numerous exhibitions.
